How did you get started in Agriculture?
I worked outside ag until being hired as location manager for Dakota Agronomy Partners in Washburn in 2000.

Work Career and Responsibilities: I was hired as a location manager in 2000, and have remained in this location and position since. Being in Central ND we have a diverse crop portfolio. This includes working in almost all areas of this full service agronomy center, keeping me active in agriculture and with growers which is important to me. Currently and for the past five years, I have served on the 12 member Board of the North Dakota Ag Association. The ND Ag Association is a 450-voluntary-member organization of Agri-business firms or individuals engaged in manufacturing, distribution, and retailing products and services to the crop production industry.

Why be a CCA?  One of the first things I did before spring work in 2001 was to obtain my CCA certification. I felt it was important to have some credentials and some current educational awareness of the industry. The CCA Program and the educational updates it provides to me and my co-workers is very important. We often share ideas that come from workshops or CCA classes that people in our industry provide. I continue to learn and feel this knowledge is crucial in the interaction I have with my growers shared needs of profitability in agriculture. I encourage anyone involved in day to day crop advising with growers to stay current with the information that these programs provide.

Hobbies:  I have transitioned from finding and working on classic cars to supporting my kids in various sports in high school and junior high. Time to time helping out farmers, and projects around the yard keep me busy.
