17th Annual Meeting and Social Held

The ND CCA Board hosted the 17th Annual Meeting/Social at the Holiday Inn February 11 at 5:30 p.m. following the first day of the Advanced Crop Advisor Workshop.

Sarah Lovas, Board Chair, called the meeting to order. The current Board members present were introduced: Jason Hanson, Edwin Kitzes, Alicia Harstad, John Christianson, John Breker, and Larry Cihacek. Kristie Michels and Carla Ralston were mentioned, but not present. The new online tools, including social media were presented: website: ndcropadviser.org; Twitter: @ND_CCA; and Facebook: @NorthDakotaCertifiedCropAdvisorProgram.

Lee Briese, Centrol Consulting, is now the Chair of the ICCA Board. And Darrell Scheresky was named the 2019 ND CCA of the Year.

The 2020 North American CCA Board meeting will be held September 15-16 in Fargo. A tour will be held September 14 focusing on soil and soil health. CCAs are welcome to attend. Another item of interest mentioned was that CCAs can now pay $100.00 on certifiedcropadviser.org and take as many self-study CEUs for the year as they want. This will help for anyone now able to travel for meetings, etc.
